Mayor Bélanger Declares State of Emergency

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(APRIL 30, 2026)
Mayor Raymond A. Bélanger has declared a local state of emergency after being advised that the water level has exceeded major damage flood level and will continue to rise.
At this time a berm has been built at along Mattawan Street, bladders have been installed around lift stations and sandbagging is on-going at various locations.
Sand and bags are available at the Mike Rodden Arena.
Town staff will continue to communicate all information by means of media releases to radio stations and local newspapers, social media and municipal website.
