REHABILITATION OF MAIN STREET

FROM MAURIL BÉLANGER BRIDGE TO HIGHWAY ROUNDABOUT

NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING

The Corporation of the Town of Mattawa has been awarded funding under the MTO Connecting Link Program to complete the Detailed Engineering Design for Main Street from the Mauril Bélanger Bridge to the Highway 17 Roundabout.  The purpose of the currently approved Engineering Design is to determine the nature and extent of rehabilitation required to improve the level of service and extend the operational life of Main Street Infrastructure.

This future infrastructure work will involve improvement of road surface and drainage, potential realignment or removal of existing landscaped “bump outs” and replacement of water service connections.

A Public Information Center will be convened Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Town of Mattawa Municipal Office, 160 Water Street, Mattawa to provide further information to the public on the proposed design and to receive input and comment from interested persons.
