At the April 22, 2024 Regular Council Meeting, Council declared one (1) Councillor seat vacant, and at the same meeting Council has determined to fill this vacancy by appointment by requesting applications from residents in the community.

APPOINTMENT APPLICATION PROCESS
Any interested eligible individuals looking to apply must complete and submit the following documentation:
- Nomination Form 1
- Declaration of Qualification Form
- Candidate Information Release Form
- Declaration of Confidentiality Form
Apply in person – by appointment only
Applicants must provide the Clerk or designate with valid government issued ID along with the above noted documentation in person during regular business hours at the Municipal Office, 160 Water Street, from Monday May 6, 2024 until Tuesday May 21, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
An appointment must be scheduled with the Clerk or designate for this purpose.
IMPORTANT DATES:
- Application Deadline – Tuesday May 21, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
- Withdrawal of Application – Tuesday May 21, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
- Official List of Candidates to be posted on the municipal website – Thursday May 23, 2024 by 4:00 p.m.
- Special Meeting of Council – Tuesday June 11, 2024 at 4:00 p.m.
